1. Integrated Future - Denga & Manus

The perfect album for strolling through high alpine forests on a sunny afternoon. Lots of big epic anthems with moods that just project a vibe of high adventure and big open spaces.

2. The Early Future - Denga & Manus

Spotify

The follow-up to Integrated Future, this one’s great for wide open slope traverses in the late morning and early afternoon when the sun’s out, and there’s wind blowing on the heather.

3. The Stadium Techno Experience - Scooter

Spotify

Amazon

Great for after sundown, while shlepping back on the return trail back to the car. Has the right blend of high energy for keeping going on the trail, and darker epic vibes that suits trekking through the trees after dusk.

4. Clubfiles - The Album - DJ Quicksilver

Spotify

Amazon

This one’s perfect for that 9 am stretch on the approach trails when the sun’s up, and it’s starting to warm up on the timber slopes leading toward the treeline.

5. Exodus - Andy Hunter

Spotify

Amazon

This one’s always the second album on my list when I start out climbs, cause it’s the perfect blend of moody, deep, and badass, and also epic, uplifting, and serene, that makes for an ideal just-after-dawn vibe that helps set the pace.

6. A Decade 1997-2007 - DuMonde

Spotify

Amazon

I love this one for the late afternoons, early evenings, on the return down from the summit, when the sun hasn’t yet started to set, so there’s epic vibes, and lots of majestic sights all around while traversing down a glacier before sundown.

7. No Silence - ATB

Spotify

Amazon

This album’s been my opening album whenever I start a climb. Has the ideal pre-dawn misty and melancholic vibes that helps set the pace while starting up the trail. And on those especially misty North Cascades mornings, Mysteries Skies suits the mood perfectly.

8. Before The Storm - Darude

Spotify

Amazon

An eternal classic, and a solid one for the early evening vibes on the trail, heading back down from the high alpine and back into the forest.

9. Sleep Is The Enemy - K-System

Spotify

Amazon

This one’s awesome as a late-afternoon-into-evening album. The album starts out bright and cheery, and ventures into more epic and majestic territory by the end. Magic Sunrise is particularly good when surveying the alpenglow off distant glaciers.

10. For You - Signum

Spotify

Amazon

This is a solid mid-afternoon album for clambering up toward the base of the summit. Great when circumnavigating alpine lakes and hunting for climbers treads on high ridgelines below rocky summit blocks.
